The sun was shining and the sky was blue.
But inside Adrian, it was raining. It was pouring! Adrian didn’t want to be a clumsy apple anymore. He wanted to be a handy apple.
Adrian couldn't hold back his tears.
In fact, he cried his eyes out. His previous blunders were spinning through his head. How painful and embarrassing they had been.
No wonder the other Foodies called him a walking disaster!
Storytelling sessions are free for schools and preschools.

Upcoming Storytelling Sessions at Community Centres
The author will soon start conducting storytelling sessions at Community Centres. These sessions are open to the public. The 2020 schedule is still to be confirmed and will be posted here. Stay tuned!
Christina enjoys nothing more than sitting with preschool and primary school classes and telling her children’s books stories in the reading corner. She gets the immense satisfaction of witnessing first-hand the pleasure and intense interest her stories generate with Singapore’s young readers. The stories always give way to plenty of interaction. Lively discussions take place, on children’s travel experiences, their eating habits and what pets they own.
Christina takes half an hour to read each story accompanied by projected images of the book’s illustrations, all hand-drawn by the author herself. In the remaining 30 minutes of each session, Christina entertains the flurry of questions she gets from her highly engaged junior audiences. The author is happy to stay for photographs and sit for a book-signing session to personally autograph her children’s books and present them to each child.
“I’m always completely overwhelmed by the children’s enthusiasm at each reading,” says Christina. “They are all very keen to speak up, ask questions and give comments – so many in fact that it can be a happy challenge to get through the story in one session!”

23 Nov 2019 – Radio interview with Kiss92
Maddy, Jason & Divian from Singapore radio station Kiss92 interviewed Christina during The Morning Show on 21 November 2019, the day the primary school leaving exam results were released.
“My books are designed to help parents educate their children on life’s important lessons through fun, light-hearted stories,” explains Christina. “We don’t focus in school on how to live a happy life. But what can be more important than that?”
The author’s main advice for parents: “You have to set the right example. If you want your child to be more physically active, you need to come out of that lazy chair of yours, too!”
Frankfurt Book Fair, 16 - 21 Oct 2019
The Food ABC children’s books, which focus on learning through storytelling, will soon become available in other languages and countries.
The Food ABC welcomed visitors from many countries covering all continents. Various media channels and publishers commented on the series as “original, refreshing and very much needed in today’s world.”
“Most children’s books are standalone focusing on events. This is a series of very clever books based on a unique concept. Teachers can use the books as an enabler to teach about issues that children face growing up as digital natives. The books can also be a helpful teaching companion for parents.”
The author was proud to welcome His Excellency Mr Guo Wei Min, Deputy Chief of Mission and Counselor of the Republic of Singapore, at her booth.
